[Article]: Reading and Writing with Wikis: Progress and Plans

With the Web 2.0 technology, Internet is revamping itself to attract more uses of the World Wide Web. One of them is the Wikis. An example is the Wikipedia web site that enable Internet uses to post and write knowledge to it. There are other uses of Wikis in term of creative and education usage.

The paper poster describes an investigation of ways of using wikis systems to support and improve reading, writing, and related skills. By developing activities and some settings on wikis systems, it can turned it into a learning and lesson driven tools for the Internet students for the future.

One must remember that wikis will only be useful if user can be objective towards the writing postings and only to accept it that is used to generate ideas, organizing arguments and collaborative works.
